Artemis Fowl the Second is an Irish(teenage) criminal mastermind. He has discovered a race of fairies living underground to escape from pollution and climate change that humans have brought into the world. Just last year(Artemis Fowl) he captured a captain of the lower elements police department (LEP)and ransomed her for a significant amount of gold.
Now the LEP are after him, on suspicion of supplying illegal power cells to the goblin gangs, a large group of goblins turned bad. But it's not the right time. The Russian mafiya have got his father, and are holding him for ransom in Murmansk, in the arctic circle and only his bodyguard, Butler, stands between his life and an evil pixie, bent on world domination. Now, as an explosive situation threatens all life as we know it, Artemis realizes that even an evil genius needs help sometimes....
